Never - Use FTP Or Windows File Explorer To Make Any Changes In Your /WWW Folder. Doing so will corrupt the web site, and the extensions will need to be reinstalled.

Always - Test the web site using several browsers to ensure a consistent look and browser compatibility. Browser market share - Netscape 44% Microsoft 34% AOL 14% Other Browsers (Such As Opera) 8%

Always - Develop and publish your site locally using 'Personal Web Server' before publishing your site remotely

Never - Use spaces, quotes, or other non-valid characters in file names. Use Only A-Z, 1-0, and the "-" Symbol. Always import images and other files before creating a link.

Never - Use Inline Styles to alter page design. Use format / stylesheet in Frontpage Editor.

Always -Recalculate hyperlinks in Frontpage Explorer to rebuild the Indexes and other files used by Frontpage, before Publishing.

On the Start menu:point to settings, and then click Control Panel. Double-click the Network icon.
Click the Configuration tab. Click Add. In the "Select Network Component Type" dialog box, click Client, and then click Add.
In the Manufacturers list, select Microsoft. In the Network Clients list, select "Client for Microsoft Networks." Click OK.
In the Primary Network Logon list, select "Client for Microsoft Networks."
Click the Identification tab, and fill in the Computer Name and Workgroup boxes. Click OK.
If you are prompted to restart Windows, click Yes.
Configure Dial-Up Networking On the Windows desktop, double-click the My Computer icon.
Double-click the Dial-Up Networking icon.
Right-click the connection for your Internet service provider, and then click Properties.
Click Server Type.
Click Logon To Network.
Click to clear the Require Encrypted Password check box.
Click OK.
